Tube Light Starter

is a small, cylindrical device used in fluorescent lighting fixtures to initiate the flow of electricity through the fluorescent tube. It is also known as a starter switch or fluorescent starter.

Here’s how a tube light starter works:

1. Function: In a fluorescent lighting system, the starter plays a crucial role in starting the lamp. When the light switch is turned on, electricity flows through the circuit and reaches the starter.
2. Bi-Metallic Strip: Inside the tube light starter, there is a bi-metallic strip (usually made of two different metals bonded together). This strip is positioned so that one end touches a contact inside the starter while the other end is free.
3. Heating: When electricity flows through the bi-metallic strip, it heats up due to the electrical resistance of the metals. As it heats up, the strip bends and makes contact with another contact inside the starter, completing the circuit.
